RatingMinder/Terms

Terms of Service The free analysis, Monitoring, the money, and the refund guarantee, in plain English.

These terms say the same things the rest of the site says. If you find a place where they don't, tell us, and we'll fix whichever one is wrong.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

RatingMinder is operated by The Leads Foundry LLC, a Minnesota limited liability company, at 14040 Delwood Dr, Elbert, CO 80106 ("RatingMinder", "we", "us"). These terms cover ratingminder.com and the three things we offer there: the free check, cases, and Monitoring. When you use the site or buy from us, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

RatingMinder is an independent service.

2. What the service is

The free check. You give us a business. We pull the reviews on its Google Business Profile, set aside the reviews rated 2 stars or below that carry at least ten characters of text, and assess each against Google's published policies. Each assessed review gets one of three verdicts: Strong grounds for removal, Possible grounds for removal, or No grounds for removal. Rating-only reviews, meaning no text or fewer than ten characters of it, are counted and disclosed, not assessed. The verdict also shows the arithmetic: if the reviews with a basis come down, here is what your rating becomes. That is arithmetic on the reviews on your profile today, not a forecast. Google decides removals. The verdict is free and shown on the page.

A case. For a review we assess as having a policy basis, we prepare the appeal you would file: an evidence packet with checkable sources, a report note and appeal argument matched to one policy category, a filing walkthrough that shows you Google's screens in order, and case tracking through to the outcome.

Monitoring. We check your reviews daily and analyze new negative reviews when we find them. A new negative here means a review of 2 stars or below that carries at least ten characters of text, the same rule the free check uses. Each alert carries the policy assessment, not just the review. You get a weekly digest of the work we did. For a review that lands after your recorded baseline and passes our assessment, we prepare the case as part of Monitoring, with no per-appeal fee. Reviews already on the profile at the baseline are assessed free but filed at standard appeal pricing.

Review data comes from a third-party data provider, not from Google's APIs. We use Google's Places autocomplete only to match the business you type.

3. What the service is not

  • We never submit anything to Google. Google's process is owner-driven, and the report and the appeal go in from your own Business Profile, by you.
  • We never ask for your Google login. Nobody at RatingMinder signs into your account.
  • Google alone decides whether a review comes down, and Google reserves the right to reinstate a review it removed.
  • We make no promise about outcomes. An assessment is our judgment of a review against the text of Google's policies. It is not a prediction of Google's decision, and it is not legal advice.
  • The assessment precision we publish on our numbers page measures our assessment against expert adjudication. It is not a promise about any case.
  • One appeal per review, ever, is Google's rule. In Google's words: "Content removals can only be appealed once." (Appeal Maps user-generated content policy enforcement actions). We do not treat an appeal as retryable, and the walkthrough says so before you file.
  • We refuse to build a case for a review we assess as having no policy basis, even if you ask. That result has no purchase path.
  • We also refuse a case for a review whose one appeal is already used. Google gives each review exactly one, ever, and when it is gone a paid case can't help, so there is nothing there we are willing to charge for.
  • Our guarantee is a refund guarantee for the appeal fee only, never subscriptions (our refund guarantee, section 7 below). It is not a removal guarantee, and nobody can honestly sell you one.

4. The free check

The check asks for the business, not for you: a name and city, or a Google Maps URL. You confirm the profile before anything runs. There is no account and no email required to see the verdict. If you want an email when a slow check finishes, or want the reply playbook sent to you, you may give us an address.

Limits on the free check:

  • Three checks per day from one connection.
  • A repeat check on the same profile within 24 hours returns the existing result, whoever runs it.
  • A daily capacity limit may pause free checks until the next day.

Nothing is charged for a check, including one that fails. The reviews we pull and the assessments we make are ours to cache and serve again.

5. Accounts

The checkout email is your account. You sign in with Google, with a password, or with a code we email to that address. Keep that address accurate, because it is where your appeal updates, refund notices, and the day-53 Monitoring reminder go. You are responsible for anything done from your account, including by anyone you share your password with. One account may hold several Business Profiles, and every price below is per Business Profile.

6. Prices and payment

  • Case, $249. One review, your pick.
  • Case, $349. Every review our check accepted from one scan. This is a snapshot, not a future entitlement: reviews that arrive later are Monitoring's job.
  • Included with every case: 60 days of Monitoring on that Business Profile. After 60 days, Monitoring continues at $39 a month for that profile unless you cancel. We show the first billing date before you pay, and we remind you on day 53. If you do nothing, it continues. This holds even if you never file and we close the case dormant: Monitoring keeps running, and billing starts on day 60 unless you cancel.
  • Monitoring on its own, $39 a month per Business Profile, month-to-month, with no annual term at launch.

All prices are per Business Profile, never per account. Stripe processes every payment. The card is entered on Stripe's own page; we never see or hold your card number. Your statement reads RATINGMINDER.

7. The refund guarantee

If we accept your case and Google doesn't remove the review, your money comes back.

The full terms are on the guarantee page; what follows is the same thing in numbered form.

  • Scope: accepted one-time case purchases only, never subscriptions. Monitoring fees are not refundable under the guarantee. An accepted appeal is one for a review the check found strong or possible grounds for removal, that we reviewed before preparing, and that you bought.
  • What counts as a loss: A loss is recorded one of two ways: the 30-day clock that starts when you confirm your report (or, on the extortion lane, the merchant extortion form) runs out with the review still live; or Google declines the appeal — Google emails that decision to you, and we record the loss when you send it to support@ratingminder.com.
  • The $349 purchase is one purchase. It refunds only when none of its accepted appeals succeeds. One removal keeps the purchase outside the guarantee.
  • Automatic and in full. A loss triggers the refund the moment we record it. The notice arrives in the outcome email. No form, no call, and the full amount goes back to the card you paid with.
  • Before you file: if you ask for a refund while the packet sits unfiled, or after we closed the case dormant, it is granted instantly and unconditionally, unless Google has already removed a review covered by that purchase. Your packet stays saved either way. Once you file, the pre-filing refund closes. There is no refund path while the 30-day clock runs, because the case has not resolved yet.
  • Reinstatement is not a loss. If Google puts a review back after removing it, re-filing is a new report, not a second appeal. We reopen the report step at no charge.
  • If the review comes down after the refund, we do not bill you again.
  • Duplicate charges caused by a checkout race are refunded without being asked. That is a billing correction, not a guarantee refund.
  • Appeals on possible grounds carry the guarantee in full. Their odds are stated before you pay.

8. Cancelling Monitoring

You cancel from your dashboard. The cancellation takes effect that day. No further charges follow, and there is no retention call and no win-back sequence. A month already billed is not refunded. A charge that lands while your cancellation is still being processed is refunded by us by hand. Your billing history and every case packet stay accessible after you cancel. Receipts and card changes are handled through Stripe's customer portal, reached from the "Manage billing" button.

9. Your responsibilities in a case

  • The profile has to be yours to act for. You confirm that you own or are authorized to manage the Business Profile a case concerns, and that you are an adult acting for a business.
  • Confirm filings truthfully. When you tell the app you filed the report or submitted the appeal, we record that confirmation as your attestation. Confirming the report is what starts the 30-day clock in section 7. Outcomes are never taken on your word: we detect removal and reinstatement by observing the profile, and a loss by the clock, or by Google's own decision email when you send it to us — the artifact, never your account of it.
  • Supply accurate evidence that is yours to share. Screenshots, records, and any account of events you give us must be true. The packet argues from what you supply.
  • Follow Google's terms on Google's screens. The report and appeal are Google's forms, filed by you, under Google's rules.
  • Don't use the service to suppress honest reviews or to mass-flag. We assess policy basis, not fairness, and we refuse cases without one for exactly this reason. Google can restrict a Business Profile for fake engagement (Business Profile restrictions for policy violations). A wrong filing also spends a review's only appeal. We may close an account used this way.

If you don't file, nothing expires. We send reminders on days 3, 7, 14, and 21. After day 60 unfiled we close the case quietly, and you can reopen it free at any time.

10. Data

Our privacy policy says what we collect and why. Two things belong here as well. The review text and reviewer details we hold are public Google content, retrieved through a third-party provider. We store every review rated 2 stars or below, including the rating-only ones that carry no text; reviews above 2 stars are counted on the scan, and only their identifiers are kept for Monitoring; their text and reviewer details are never stored. At the moment you buy a case we freeze an evidence snapshot of the review, the reviewer's public profile, and the business facts. That snapshot is never edited afterward, because evidence decays and reviewer profiles often disappear within days. Retention periods are in section 6 of the privacy policy.

11. Intellectual property and your license to use the packet

The case packet we build for you is yours to file: you may use the evidence, the report note, and the appeal argument on Google's forms for that review on your Business Profile. The site, the software, the assessment method, and the wording of our verdicts are ours. Google's policy text quoted in your packet is Google's.

Pending · operator factIP clause

12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided as-is with respect to outcomes. The refund in section 7 is the remedy we offer for a case that loses, and it covers the appeal fee only, never subscriptions (how the refund works). We are not liable for Google's decisions, Google's timing, a reinstatement, or gaps in the data our provider returns. Our total liability to you for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us for the purchase the claim concerns.

14. Changes to these terms, and how to reach us

We may change these terms. When we do, we post the new version here with a new effective date and email account holders from support@ratingminder.com. Pending · operator fact Material-change notice period Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new terms.
